Taylene is a gentle yet proud soul, far wiser than her age lets on. Decisions are thought out thoroughly, words are chosen carefully, and yet she radiates a quiet and inviting warmth all the same. There is little one can do to provoke her ire.
She is defined by her creativity. Whether it be in the quiet of home or the heat of battle, she's always planning one step ahead. While she usually remains docile, she can easily hold her own in battle!
The future is bright in Taylene's eyes. She is incredibly optimistic and finds the positives in any situation!
Appearance
Taylene is quite large when compared to a typical Au Ra woman, her frame sporting a sturdy and strong pear shape.
Her skin is naturally tanned and glowing with life, a stark contrast to the fair porcelain she once possessed. Her hair is a straight and silky black, though she often plays around with different styles.
Taylene's eyes are bright blue, though if you look closely at certain angles, they may shimmer as a light violet. Her scales possess this same shimmering quality.
Often times, Taylene is sporting bright colors in her wardrobe, favoring blues, greens, and yellows. There's also a matching hair ribbon for every color, it seems! She likes to balance comfort and appeal and if often wearing a knitted sweater.

Peculiar Xaela: Anyone with a keen understanding of Au Ra physiology will be able to discern that Taylene is not a Xaela. Even her family name, Shehad, is foreign to the Steppe and beyond. Where did she come from, and what is she?

Taylene opens her eyes and finds a world unfamiliar. Haunted by enigmatic dreams and missing memories, She drifts about the world in search of answers. Her search never yields, and she becomes lost in an endless, unchanging cycle.With the aid of adventuring free company Halcyon Ventures, Taylene finally finds her answers within the Aetherial Sea, meeting her long-departed mother and recalling her past. She, too, is a shade of herself, and her fading body and indomitable spirit are washed away into the Sea.

Taylene opens her eyes and finds a world now familiar. But the world, while unchanged, is realized and perceived entirely anew; her senses overwhelm her, every touch and smell and movement brings the thrill of surprise. Her body feels heavy and the air is thick in her lungs.She does not know, nor bother to consider how she returned. All she can do is smile in exhilaration. It's a new day, and the sunrise is breathtaking.
